Transnational Meetings

… in each of the four project countries

The Transnational Meeting is held in each of the four project countries. Both the project coordinators from the participating organizations and young people from the local groups take part as youth ambassadors. The meetings are used for joint planning and monitoring of the project as well as for discussing the project’s goals and content.

As partner organizations and individuals from diverse backgrounds: we have different political and social perspectives on forced migration and refugee policy in our countries, which influence our work with young refugees. We also work in different fields – for example in educational institutions, in lobby organizations or in humanitarian aid. This diversity is also reflected in the experiences of the young refugees, who come from various countries, have diverse biographical experiences and stories of forced migration and face different challenges and framework conditions.

Learning from each other, sharing perspectives

We want to learn from each other and consider the different realities of forced migration and asylum in the partner countries. The Transnational Meetings enable us to receive impulses from local networks and alliances in the field of forced migration and asylum. They help us to discover good practice examples for educational work with young refugees and especially to get to know the activities and perspectives of the local groups. Including young refugees in the Transnational Meetings promotes real participation and the inclusion of their views into the project. It also strengthens networking and equal exchange among everyone involved.

In this way, project organization and contet-based reflection are combined to create a joint, transnational learning and working platform that enriches the work with young refugees in the long term.
