Call for participants: International Training in Prague, 24–28 November 2025
Empowered by Action – Creative Tools for Non-formal Education with Young Refugees
How can creativity strengthen young people’s voices? How can theater, improvisation, art or poetry open spaces for empowerment and participation – especially for young people with refugee experiences?
From 24–28 November 2025 in Prague, we will explore how artistic and creative methods can be powerful tools in civic education and youth work. The training will provide a safe space for participants to try out creative methods, exchange experiences, and reflect on empowerment-based approaches that foster participation and visibility.
What to expect
- Creative tools for empowerment, participation & inclusion
- Exchange with colleagues from across Europe
- Practical workshops with theater, improvisation, and poetry
- A visit to a local theater in Prague and the chance to see a performance developed by young refugees
Who can apply
- Persons working with young refugees in organizations or informal groups
- Trainers in non-formal education
- People working in the field of forced migration
- Anyone interested in empowerment-based, creative approaches in youth work
Important: People with personal experiences of (forced) migration or racism are especially encouraged to join. We will make sure to create safe spaces where everyone can share experiences and ideas openly.
